"It's the Place to Bee!"
Sacramento County Fair
invites you to show off your talented art students at the 2008 County
Fair, May 22 - 26.
We are inviting each high
school art department to participate in the 6TH ANNUAL "ART AT THE
ENTRANCE" show and hope to have all high schools represented.
We will be offering the
following cash prizes in addition to participation rosettes:
1st Place $200.00
2nd Place $100.00
3rd Place $50.00
New This Year:
Murals will be judged by "Peoples Choice". Encourage all your students,
faculty, and friends to vote for your mural. Remember, the more votes
you generate, the better your chances of a win!
The Fair will provide a 4'
x 8' primed plywood board on which your students will create a mural for
display during the County Fair. The Fair will be responsible for
delivering the blank boards in February and will pick up the completed
board during the 1st week in May.
The murals will be
displayed lining the entrance to the Fair and remain on display until
the fair closes. This is an excellent opportunity for your students to
show pride in their school.
Rules:

County Fair is a
family event and content of mural must be in good taste.

Theme of the mural
must follow the theme of the fair. Our theme this year is "It's
the Place to Bee".

The mural must
include the words “Sacramento County Fair”, the name of your school
and depict the fair theme.

Use out-door paint or
coat with varnish so the artwork will weather well in an outside
display. (Contact me if you have any questions or concerns)

Artwork may be
vertical or horizontal at the discretion of the artists.

Mural must be
completed no later than May 5, 2008.

All murals will become
the property of the Sacramento County Fair.

The Sacramento County Fair reserves the
right to refuse artwork, which it deems to be inappropriate for a family
event.
