It wouldn't be a County Fair without the livestock shows, cooking competitions, arts and crafts shows or the displays of student projects. Over $18,000 will be awarded to the best of the best in Sacramento County! Of course, its not just about the money, it's about bragging rights and the blue ribbon, too.

How To Enter Competitive Exhibits

Step 1: : Complete an Entry Registration Form for your Competition located on our Rules & Forms page. Choose any of the following entry methods:

Online entry registration: You can enter online for most of the Competitive Exhibits. After you have printed or viewed the department information, click the "Enter Online" link on each exhibit page to enter using a credit card or ATM/Debit Card on our secure Web site.

Mail-in entry registration: Completed entry forms and fees must be postmarked via the U.S. Postal Service on or before deadline day. You will not receive a return receipt.

Hand-deliver entry registration: Completed entry forms must be delivered to the Sacramento County Fair Office at the Cal Expo Fairgrounds on or before deadline day by 2:00PM.

Entries must be submitted by 2:00PM (Pacific Daylight Time) on deadline day.
Late entries will not be accepted. No faxed or e-mailed entries will be accepted.

Step 2: Read the rules for your competition.

Step 3: Deliver your entry to Cal Expo per the date/time listed in the competition rules.

Step 4: Return to the fair, May 26- 30, to view the results!
