The 2011 Sacramento County Fair is scheduled for Thursday, May 26-Memorial Day. School Tours will be held on Thursday, May 26 and Friday, May 27 at Cal Expo. The Fair offers an opportunity, at no charge, for your class to have fun and learn more about agriculture and the vital role it plays in our everyday lives.
2011 School Tour Highlights:
- Our Sunflower Saddle Ranch, Metro Farm and Ag Scavenger Hunt
programs are hands-on sources of agricultural and environmental
education.
- Science & Physics discovery zone
- Local school groups
performing live on stage
- And more great stuff to be scheduled to entertain and
educate!
More Opportunities to be Involved:
Why not enter student artwork or class projects, too? We will provide your class the opportunity to display their work to thousands of people and compete for prizes. While at the Fair your students will enjoy the variety of student artwork and they will be delighted to see their own work on display!
Watch for our special Agricultural Education Workshops with free instructional material for your classroom and all supplies necessary for your students to plant a salad garden in a wheelbarrow. This program will also provide a special competition for your classroom to vie for cash prizes.
